The house-Museum of nature is located on the outskirts of Salzburg, on Museum square. The Museum was founded in 1924, the famous zoologist Edward Stratcom, who led the Museum until 1976.
The Museum has more than 80 exhibition halls, located on 5 floors. Here is a rich collection, which is annually replenished with new exhibits.Visitors can experience nature all over the world, from tropical jungles to icy Arctic. Here you can see different landscapes, inhabiting flora and fauna, to get acquainted with the space and underwater worlds.
At the entrance visitors are greeted by a dinosaur that is able to produce scary sounds and warmly shaking his head. The pride of the Museum is the exhibition "sea World", representing about 40 large aquariums, which are readily available in the underwater world. Exhibition hall dedicated to reptiles, has 56 equipped terrariums where you can see about 200 different species of exotic animals, including snakes, turtles, frogs, chameleons and lizards.
Space in the hall you can arrange space travel, to see an example of space of the city, familiar with the structure of the universe, and to see what it looks like American capsule "mercury" in which committed the flights into space in the 60-ies. The hall has interplanetary scales that allow you to find your weight on different planets. On the other floors of the Museum are equally interesting and exciting exhibitions, devoted to birds, ice age animals, minerals and different species of mammals.
Last, the fifth floor is devoted to the exposition covering the topic of human rights and the human body. Here you can spend hours exploring your body for various training devices. This room contains interesting information and various facts about the digestive system, touch, the nervous system of the person.
