State puppet theatre of Varna is the centre of leisure, culture and aesthetic education of the younger generation of the city. The theater was opened in 1952 and over the years the theatre group presented the young viewers of more than 250 performances of different genres.

The performances have repeatedly been the winners of both regional and international festivals. The theater today includes more than 30 people, half of whom are actors-graduates of the National Academy of theatre, the other half of creative professionals, administrative and technical staff. The repertoire is rich and varied, the audience is offered as a classic puppet shows, and innovative performances of the theater masks and shadow theater.

The theatre is open to experiments, which are skillfully used in productions, making them bright and expressive visuals, plastic game, video projection and more. The theater has an Art Studio that engages in creative projects that do not fit into the framework of the classical repertoire. In the Studio are created performances for adults and children based on the works of the classics and contemporaries. In addition, we regularly conduct informative and educational lectures for teenagers and students.
