The monument Vseslav Bratislavia Polotsk was installed in the center of his home town of Polotsk in 2007. Authors of the monument were sculptors A. Prokhorov, Sergei Ignatiev, L. Minkevich, architect D. Sokolov. This is the first equestrian monument on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Epic Prince Vseslav was called Prophetic, Magician and Sorcerer, attributing such qualities as the ability to transform into a Falcon, Zolotonosha deer or wolf.

Legends of the different descriptions of the Prince's appearance on the light. Some say that the mother gave birth to him as a result of volhovanie, and delivery took a Magi, and prophesied for him a long life, reign, many glorious deeds. Other legends claim that supposedly Vseslav was a birthmark on his head, which the wise men advised him to cover with a cloth. Still others that he was born in a shirt and this shirt he always carried as a mascot.

Vseslav Brachislavich mentioned in the "Tale of bygone years", in "the Word about Igor's regiment" and folk tales, where he acts as the hero, sorcerer and a werewolf.

The Prince, who was born about 1029 rules in Polotsk unusually long – 57 years. Given that the duration of human life in the eleventh century was shorter than that of our contemporaries, this is an awesome term.

For all its magical glory Vseslav acts as an ardent supporter of Orthodoxy. It is built Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk, it also strongly protects Orthodox clergy and build other temples.
