The activities of the local history Museum in Togliatti began in March 1962 on the basis of already existing Museum of history in the nearby town of Zhigulyovsk. The main direction of the Museum of the history of Stavropol (now Togliatti): traditions, customs, culture and lifestyle of the region from ancient times.
