The Royal route connects the Royal castle with a summer residence at Lazienki Park. Lazienki means "the baths". Their story begins with the wooden castle of the Mazovian princes. 300 years later, in the sixteenth century, lived here Anna Jagiellonka, wife of Stefan Batory; in it there appeared the first wooden bath. Sigismund III Vasa in 1623 built luxury ujazdów castle. Then it was under Marshal stanisław Lubomirski: he built not far from the Palace, in the forest, two small pavilion - Hermitage and Spa. King Stanislaw August Poniatowski rebuilt the Palace, and the thickets of the forest was turned into a Park, giving the Łazienki modern look.
